DonutinessTales of vegan donut adventures.
Do you ever get the urge, in the middle of the workday, for a donut? Me too!
This time our vegan donut run took us to Daddy O Doughnuts in Mississauga (just slightly west of Toronto). Daddy O has a range of both vegan and non-vegan doughnuts, and their product never fails to deliver.
Enjoy, as Camila and Simon sample a couple of their delicious wares!
As you might be able to guess from this video, I was blown away by the Orange Pistachio doughnut from Revolution Doughnuts. It. Was. Amazing!!!
In the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta can be found Revolution Doughnuts & Coffee, a small family-owned and operated baking company. This is actually their second location, their first is in Decatur, Georgia (about 30 minutes-ish away). Their goal is to revitalize the American doughnut, and my god, are their doughnuts fantastic! The ones we tried were full on cakey donuts and they were delicious!
We stopped by on a Thursday just before closing time and had a chance to sit down for a coffee, look at the racks of different doughnuts, and buy too many! From what the guys behind the counter were telling me most of their doughnuts are actually vegan, but some have toppings that are not.
Check out the video to see my and Randy’s impressions.
In the west end of Atlanta one can find Vegan Dream Doughnuts, a shop where they make fresh all natural vegan doughnuts every day.
We stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and met the owner Chaz, a very nice guy! He had three types of doughnuts when we got there, French Vanilla Peach, French Vanilla Hazelnut, and Banana Caramel; available as both donuts and donut holes. He also makes fresh juices, coffees, teas and more.
These were tasty donuts which would go down great with a cup of coffee. Check out the video to see my and Randy’s impressions.
Enjoy a sampling of vegan donuts from Glory Hole Donuts in Toronto. The make both vegan and non-vegan donuts, so if you stop by to try some for yourself, be sure to pick the right ones. Also, follow their instagram (you can find it in the link above), they have awesome weekend specials – this weekends was vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch, which sold out just a few hours after they opened.
